Being open fifty two weeks a year, six nights a week, I worked with an amazing array of artists.
The following six rosters are just a sample of the wide range of talent that crossed the stage in my eight years at the Venetian Room. I thought it might be fun to share the names I remember with you. Up first, the great jazz singers (in alphabetical order):
Tony Bennett, Cab Calloway, Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Four Freshmen, Jack Jones, Eartha Kitt, Peggy Lee, Carmen McRae, The Mills Brother (not a typo), Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Nancy Wilson.
